That is a really good question! Many other city have it, why not us? Hopefully this is a question that we can all answer together.
Why don't we have our recyclables picked up curbside?

We and many of our Quail Ridge street neighbors recycle each week. A high school student furnishes a container to the residents that desire to participate. We place the container at the curb full of our recylables each Saturday and she picks it up, sorts it and delivers it to a recycling center. The student charges $5.00 per month.

What a great idea! For years I have thought of the business model of what this girl is doing. I am glad to see someone actually doing it. Homeowners in the right neighborhoods who believe in recycling would easily pay $5 a month and more. When we lived in California curbide recycing was mandated. Our curbide containers had as much recycling as our trash. This is a great idea.
